The “Jockey Club Generation Connect Project (JCGCP)” of The School of Public Health and Primary Care, the Faculty of Medicine has participated in the video competition organized by The 11^th APRU Population Aging Virtual Conference-Challenges & Resilience Related to Aging Population Surviving and Thriving towards Successful Aging, and has been selected as the runner-up of the competition among more than 10 entries from different Asian countries.

The video created by JCGCP team has been inspired by the unprecedented challenges brought by social distancing and reduced social interaction during the COVID-19. “Strengthening the intergenerational well-being and solidarity is crucial under the COVID-19, and the development of innovative solutions coping with these challenges is no doubts essential in the era of “New Normal” said Professor Eliza Wong, PI of the JCGCP Project. The video has presented obstacles but also efforts the populations made on promoting intergenerational harmony amid COVID-19.

Jockey Club Generation Connect Project was launched to advancing knowledge and generating evidence for intergenerational cohesiveness and harmony since 2018. The team works with NGO partners to co-design, co-create and co-evaluate a series of community-based programmes and co-produce knowledge to develop a proactive attitude towards aging in the long run.
